I say my “day job” is printing. And for me that is how I identify myself, as a printer. I grew up in the newspaper and printing business, but I didn’t truly appreciate the trade until I started working for our family’s commercial printing company after a stint in politics after college. For nearly 10 years I learned the ins and outs of printing and developed a deep respect for the history and tradition of it, the importance of it, and for the people who do it.

When I had the idea to take one of our 100 year old presses out of storage and try and learn to use it, I would never have imagined that 10 years later I would be still passionate about the craft of letterpress printing and making my way in a little print shop in our old paper warehouse. But, here we are. And here is where you will find me.

Love letterpress? So do I. Let’s chat about your project.
